Halloween Eve at The Abbey. The lights dim. The projector hums. And from the depths of cinematic history, the dead rise again with a free screening of Romero’s classic Night of the Living Dead!

Get ready to dial it up to 11 with the ultimate tribute bands, cranking up the volume and energy for a night you won't forget!

There will be a salsa dance lesson from 6:00-6:30 before the show, hosted by Tony Gonzalez. Come early if you'd like to participate!

Son de Cuba is a quintet created in August 2015 by musicians from The USA and Cuba, based in Portland, Oregon. The majority of the group are Cubans with roots in Latin, African, and Jazz rhythms. They blend this vast knowledge of beats together in classic and modern Latin songs.

One Way Out is a Portland, OR based 8-member band, committed solely to paying musical tribute to the Allman Brothers Band and their related side projects, including the solo and session efforts of brothers Duane and Gregg.

This free community gathering is designed to offer women of the African diaspora and our greater community a safe, welcoming space to decompress, connect, and express through creativity and sisterhood.

PLC brings back some of our favorite songs over the years to kick off the 40th Ruby Anniversary Season! This specialty performance will be a lively affair, featuring phenomenal soloists, small ensembles, and yes—audience sing-alongs.

The Red Yarn Band weaves roots rock music & puppetry into high-energy, interactive performances for all ages. Louis Pearl has been thrilling audiences around the world for over 30 years with the art, magic, science and fun of bubbles. He is a favorite at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where he has enjoyed twelve years of sell-out success.

Louis explores the breath-taking dynamics of bubbles, combining comedy and artistry with audience participation and enough spellbinding bubble tricks to keep everyone mesmerized. From square bubbles, bubbles inside bubbles, fog-filled bubbles, giant bubbles, bubble volcanoes, tornados and trampolines to people inside bubbles, the Amazing Bubble Man conjures shrieks of laughter and gasps of amazement from all ages.

Most shows will also feature multi instrumentalist Jet Black Pearl accompanying Louis with bubbly music to double your pleasure.

The Alberta Abbey will partner with the American Red Cross to hold a blood drive to benefit people living with Sickle Cell Anemia. Most of whom are African-American. Patients suffering from this disease often require frequent blood transfusions with closely matched red blood cell antigens. Due to the variety of inherited red blood cell antigens, the most compatible blood donations come from African-American donors.

While this drive is intended to increase donations from African Americans in Portland, it is OPEN TO ALL DONORS. And, all participants will receive an Amazon Gift for donating.
