HALEY JOHNSEN

Haley Johnsen is a Portland, Oregon-born musician with a knack for genre-bending and a hard-earned career path that is uniquely her own. Growing up listening to powerhouse singers such as Brandi Carlile and Annie Lennox, her greatest inspirations become apparent in her soaring vocals, introspective lyricism, and cross-pollinated style of indie-pop, and folk rock music. Not fully diving into her artistry until her early 20’s, Haley got serious about music after an exceptional journey to the top 24 on American Idol season 11 in 2012. Cutting her teeth in hometown of Portland, OR, she has since released 2 Ep’s, 3 full length albums, and has gone on many national tours with acts such as Joseph, The Wind and the Wave, Sawyer Fredericks, and KT Tunstall, as well as two successful European tours in 2019 and 2020. At the end of her European tour in 2019, Haley flew to London and was further granted the opportunity to record a live acoustic album entitled London Sessions at the Legendary Abbey Road Studios. That same year, Haley released her highly anticipated 12-track debut album, Golden Days, where she gained much deserved recognition and ignited the interest of Allen Stone who appeared on the album on her blues driven song “Weekend”. On top of all of her personal career strides, Haley has also been the bassist and back up vocalist for Big Wild since 2019, playing festivals such as Lollapalooza, Coachella, Bonnaroo, and 3 sold out shows at Red Rocks. Her latest 2022 full length alt pop album Goner, written and recorded during the peak of the pandemic. “Goner cascades over loss and grief and mending one’s soul in nostalgic drips of time, all carried by ’80s-tipped synth-pop and brushes of reflective ballads” (American Songwriter). Haley has the type of showmanship that is electric, earnest, and wholeheartedly endearing. With or without a band, you can be sure to leave her shows with a smile on your face while wiping tears from your eyes.

JACOB MILLER

Jacob Miller is an artist that creates with intention and integrity. Preferring lyrical precision over flashy production, Miller’s skillful yet effortless guitar style serves as a modern take on the established yet expansive genre of Singer-Songwriter. With unusual candor and intent, Miller stands apart for his thoughtful musicality and timeless sound.Writing music from the age of 13, gigging heavily in different bands and even working as a farm hand while studying the regional sound throughout North America, Miller’s culmination of experiences have embedded themselves in his musical stylings. In this way, his style is a reflection of his learnings, creating an approachable nature while balancing subtle sophistication. Garnering praise while performing for NBC’s “The Voice” in 2020, Nick Jonas said Miller is “connected to every word he sings” while James Taylor admitted that the aspiring artist has “really got something.”Drawing in fans from around the world, Miller is known for his passion and authenticity. With a string of singles and a debut album already out (This New Home, 2019), Miller has just ushered in a new chapter with the anticipated release of his sophomore album, Around My Head. The album is a collaboration with Patrick Tetreault, Craig Alvin (Kacey Musgraves, Brittany Howard) and Grammy-winning composer/trumpeter, Charlie Porter. Around My Head aims to draw from his past music while establishing a fresh take on his abilities as a songwriter, composer and bandleader.

THE MARGOS

Portland’s The Margos combine electric guitars and haunting vocals to create a sound familiar yet new, as if The Cranberries boarded The Starship Enterprise and discovered a brave new world. They released their first album in March 2022 and are planning to release a second one later this year. The Margos bring you honest stories with an indie rock heart.
