Alberta Abbey, World Arts Foundation Inc, Elevate Unity and Soundstage Events will host a free community watch party at Alberta Abbey located at 126 NE Alberta St. Portland for the upcoming ESPN 30 for 30 documentary “The Luckiest Guy in the World” about NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton that premieres on Tuesday, June 6th at 5:00 pm (PST). The 30 for 30 documentary on Bill Walton and his NBA Championship run with the Portland Trail Blazers in 1977.

The documentary will tell Walton’s story, from his earliest days as a high school phenom in San Diego, to his glory days at UCLA, and through his injury plagued, but stellar career with the Portland Trailblazers and the story of their 1977 NBA championship team. The film features commentary from Walton and his family, Larry Bird, Julius Ervin, Lionel Hollins, Jack Ramsay, Artis Gilmore, World B. Free, Ralph Lawler, Brent Musburger, Robert Parish, Kevin McHale and more.

Also, Paul Knauls honorarium Mayor of NE Portland/Albina and Curley Fuller will be interviewed as well in the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary. Invited guests are local former NBA players and others. After the showing there will be a Q&A session. The event will take place at Alberta Abbey located at 126 NE Alberta St. Portland, OR. Starts at 5:00 pm (doors open at 4:00 pm) Food and drinks will be available for purchase from Southern Grill Catering.
