The EmpowerHER Initiative invites you to join us for a special evening of art, laughter, and community connection at our Paint & Sip event, held at the beautiful Alberta Abbey. This free community gathering is designed to offer women of the African diaspora and our greater community a safe, welcoming space to decompress, connect, and express through creativity and sisterhood.

Our Paint & Sip evenings are more than just art—they’re experiences that celebrate joy, healing, and the power of connection. Whether you’re an artist or simply curious to explore your creative side, this night is for you. Guests will enjoy guided painting led by a local artist, music that sets the vibe, and light refreshments to help you unwind. The evening concludes with a Soul Train Line and community raffle—because we believe healing and happiness live in motion and celebration.

This Paint & Sip is part of an ongoing EmpowerHER event series focused on wellness, creativity, and community collaboration. Each event centers around empowerment through art, movement, and storytelling. As we grow, we look forward to partnering with new community organizations, schools, and wellness groups who share our mission of uplifting women, building bridges, and creating spaces where healing and growth can flourish.
EmpowerHER is a program under Bridge Pamoja, dedicated to cultivating wellness, leadership, and unity among women of color across Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. Together with the Ladies of the Rose Foundation, we’re curating spaces that foster collective healing, skill-building, and joy.

This evening is about more than painting—it’s about sisterhood. It’s about taking a pause from the noise, sitting in community, and letting creativity remind us that we’re all connected. Come ready to laugh, share, and celebrate yourself and the women beside you.
